The ‘Young Voices: Empowering Student Authors’ project is FREE program offered by Arts Intersections Agincourt in collaboration with Trustee Manna Wong and the TDSB. Working with professional writers and illustrators, over 7 workshops, project participants will have the opportunity to create and produce their own book.

Project Details:
Who Can Participate? Grades 4 – 12 TDSB students in Ward 20, Scarborough-Agincourt
Mentoring Sessions: 7 FREE sessions led by experienced writers and illustrators to guide you through the creative process of developing, writing and illustrating your own story.
Project Timeline: All sessions will take place between Feb. 10 – March 11, 2025
Grades 4-8: Feb. 10, 18, 24, March 3, 5, 10 &11
Grades 9-12: Feb. 11, 20, 25, March 4, 6, 10 & 11
Where will the sessions take place?L’Amoreaux Collegiate – 2501 Bridletowne Circle, Scarborough
Book Publishing: Your completed book will be professionally printed and published.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
What will I do?
Showcase your unique creativity.
Learn and/or increase your writing and illustrating skills from professional mentors.
Become a published author or illustrator.
Share your talents and interests with your friends.
