Don Mills Public Library Branch Arts Exhibit: Faces of Wonder

February 27 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

hroughout February, artist Declan A. M David will display works at Don Mills Branch. The exhibit is called Faces of Wonder. Declan A.M David is an Afro-Carribbean visual artist and animator based in Toronto and recent graduate of OCAD University.

Influenced by his Trinidadian and American heritage, as well as the neo-expressionist movement of the 1980s and graffiti culture of the 1990s, Declan’s work encompasses experimental paintings on glass. This collection of work explores the artist’s fascination by the notion that reflections can reveal hidden truths lying just beneath the surface. Drawing inspiration from the rich and diverse experiences of the Black diaspora, Declan’s work becomes a narrative woven with threads of cultural heritage and personal identity. By presenting these reflections in the visual form, viewers are invited to engage in a dialogue that transcends individual perspectives, resonating with themes of identify, introspection, and collective understanding.Icon of the event Branch Arts Exhibit: Faces of Wonder
