Learn about Japanese culture and the important philosophy behind the tea ceremony. This presentation not only offers a demonstration of traditional Matcha preparation using authentic tools\, but zen philosophies which may also apply to daily life. Discover how Matcha is harvested\, its history\, how to make/use it\, how to differenciate between different grades\, and how to conserve it. \nReina Sakao is a fourth-generation tea house and Urasenke tea instructor who trained at the Urasenke School in Japan where her family owns and operates a tea plantation in Shizuoka.
