From Weeds We Grow: Land-based Arts/Reflection Workshops with Richa Baghel
October 7 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM ET
Rain date: October 8, 2023
In this workshop, participants will create a collective mandala to strengthen the community spirit. We will also create a tree to celebrate Ravine Day.
Opening the senses: In this meditative exercise, we awaken our understanding of- sight, smell, touch, hearing, and taste. The ravine offers fulfillment for all our senses and refreshes them. After a short walk, we will make a collective mandala with found objects.
Be a tree: Each will choose a tree. Pose as this tree. Take time to feel the bark, taste the leaves, hear bird sounds, and smell the leaves. We will pencil sketch the tree in as much detail as possible.
